The official poster for the 69th Festival de Cannes, taking place from 11 to 22 May and presided over by Australian director George Miller, was designed using stills from Jean-Luc Godard's film Contempt.

It had been some 30 years ago when Tolomush Okeyev's "The Descendant of the Snow Leopard" won the Silver Bear prize at the Berlinale, we were proud. Based on the Kyrgyz epic "Kojojash" this movie is like a national heritage legacy we are proud of. The story is about the life of Kojojash, the hunter who violated the Laws of Nature. It was then and still is a contemporary story about keeping the fragile ecological balance, traditions and nomadic culture. On the March 30, 2016 it will be screened in English, at 5.30 p.m. at Dom Kino, 13 Logvinenko street.

The 14th Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) was held in Dhaka from 14 to 22 January 2016. The general theme of the festival is  “Better Film, Better Audience, Better Society.”

There were four competitions during the festival: Spiritual films section, Short and Independent films section, Women Filmmaker section, Australasian Competition Section.
