On February 1, submission for the XX Kazan International Muslim Film Festival started. The submission will last till June 1, 2024. The Selection Committee will finish its work by the beginning of July. After this, the official selection will be announced.

A film of Opening ceremony of the Third Art-House film festival, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

 
The festival team have invited Mr. Georgi Ovashvili, famous Georgian film-director to the 3rd Art-House film festival at Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
 
His remarkable film Gagma Napiri (The Other Bank) will be shown during the opening ceremony.
 
Synopsis. About georgian-abkhazian conflict. The film tells about an extraordinary internal drama of a little boy, his thoughts, feelings, passions, sorrows and efforts to take arms against the difficulties. A film by Giorgi Ovashvili გაღმა ნაპირი
 

The team of the Third Art-House film festival publish list of the Kyrgyz short fiction films which will be shown at this event


43 (forty three!) domestic films were delivered to the office of the festival.

For the first time in the history of The Art-House IFF our studios have presented such a large number of Kyrgyz short fiction films - this is an absolute record!
 

Today the Festival Team informs that 19 new short fiction films from Kyrhyzstan have selected for the screenings during the festival.

 

The documentary CATTLE CAMP by Alijan Nasirov won the award as the best film on relationship between Man and Nature of the 25th Pärnu International Documentary Film Festival.
 
As Mr.Mark Soosaar, Head of the Parnu IDFF, wrote to Nasirov: "We would like thank You for submitting Your remarkable documentary CATTLE CAMP to the XXV Pärnu Film Festival".

The program of the anniversary festival had quite a big success - more than half a million of people were following the festival events and were watching the competing documentaries on Estonian Television.
 
Six films were aired by ETV and the winner of the Estonian People's Award was THE VILLAGE WITHOUT WOMEN by Srdjan Sarenac (Serbia). In theaters in Pärnu, Viljandi, Haapsalu and Otepää around 12 000 visitors saw the festival program which contained 121 excellent documentaries.

Charman of the Kyrgyz film-makers Union Mr. Sadyk Sher-Niyaz have met with Chairman of the Kazakh film-makers Union Mr. Igor Vovnyanko.

 

The meeting was held on the 21st of the July 2011 at Cinema House by the name of Chingiz Aytmatov.

The young but famous film-director from Uzbekistan Ayub Shakhobiddinov will present his new film Late Life at Art-House film festival.

Synopsis. How long can a person remain the victim of his principles and desires? How long can he be the boor in relation to himself and remain the slave of his own dreams? Who can’t sacrifice them for the sake of life and sentence himself to long and painful loneliness? How should a person get freedom that gives the chance to him to be the person rather than to serve canons of appropriate behavior? How to stay true to own life rather than to ideas that lead us to painful disappointments from the life that isn’t passed and it is only exchanged and now late… late to live over again, but it is possible!

Today we received the message about it from Ms. Nadya Bakuradze, art-director of the Kansk IFF.

 
The Kansk IFF will be held from 19 to 27 August, 2011 at Kansk city, Krasnoyarsk region of the Russia.
