Good news about Elnura Osmonalieva!
Elnura Osmonalieva was admitted to the Graduate Film program at the Tisch School ofthe Arts at the New York University and will be studying there from August 2013 onwards. It is a three year long Master of Fine Arts program. This school is considered to be number one in the USA and admission is highly competitive. This year the total number of applicants was 800 for 36 placements which means that only about 5% of applicants were admitted. Elnura will be the only student from the CIS studying in a highly diverse and talented class.

Sleepless Djigit a documentary made by Belgian film-makers
The presentation of the new documentary SLEEPLESS DJIGIT will be on the April 5, 2013 at 6 p.m. at Cinema House (Dom Kino, Bishkek, Logvinenko, 13, free admission). This film made by Marc Recchia and Christophe Rolin from Belgium in Kyrgyzstan.
Synopsis. Kyrgyzstan, summer 2011. Tokon, a retired teacher from South of Kyrgyzstan writes poetry during his spare time. Every summer his daughter Gulzat comes from Russia to visit him and help out on the farm. This year's misfortunes make Tokon focus more than usually on his daughter's departure. With the dismissal of his assistant and the absence of his wife, his world is slowly shrinking. Will it be possible despite his old age to remain the brave Djigit he needs to be in the eyes of the family?
