Locarno hosts International film festival
Locarno, Switzerland, hosted the 63d International film festival in August, 4-14.
The following Kyrgyz films took part in the festival: Ayalzat (dir. Nurlan Asanbekov), Princess Nazik (dir. Erkin Saliyev), Zholbakan (dir. Elnura Osmonaliyeva).

 Kyrgyzstan to participate in the Festival de Cannes
The new film of Aktan Arym Kubat “Svet-ake” (“Light Thief”) is included into 63rd Festival de Cannes that will take place from May 12th to May 23rd 2010. The film will be shown within the programme “Director's Fortnight”.

 Kyrgyz film receives second prize at Istanbul International Film Festival
The film of the Kyrgyzstani director, graduate of Manas Kyrgyz-Turkish University Alizhan Nosirov “Kyshtoo” (“Nomads Camp”) received the second prize of the Istanbul international film festival of the Turkish TRT television company.
