Results of the One World Kyrgyzstan - 2012 The VI, One World Kyrgyzstan International festival of documentary films on human rights had finished on September 28, 2012, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
International Competition: 1) The Grand Prix is awarded the film
“Mama Illegal” by Ed Moschitz (Austria) for its use of cinema to create a clear and heartfelt expression
of the right to a dignified human life. 2) The Prize for Direction is awarded the film “Framing the Other” by Willem Timmers & Ilja Kok (Netherlands) for its unusual artistic expression of a meeting between cultures, leaving us to wonder about the ways of the world. 3) The Special Prize of the Jury is
awarded the film “Who Killed Natasha?” by Mylene Sauloy (France) for its courageous and professional
coverage of fundamental human rights and freedom of expression.
National Competition: 1) The Best film - «No Need to Go to Zardaly» (photo) by Abu Mamadaliev, 16 min., 2012 2) The Prize "Discovery of festival" - «Moscow Through Tears» by Aida Kasymalieva, 25 min., 2012
3) The Prize "Breakthrough" - «Diaries of Fates» by Chynara Sydykova, 40 min., 2012 Team of the National jury: Alika Karabaeva (Chairperson), Flora Gazieva, Sadyr Jumagazy, Sergey Vysotky, Asel Juraeva.
Competition for films about children's and youth's problems:
The award for best film in the category of the "Rights of children and youth" goes to director Vic Sarin (Canada) for "Desert Riders" which raises serious problems and provides much-needed protection of children's rights.
Team of the Youth jury: Nazik Kadyrova & Ayshoola Aysaeva.
Other Prizes: 1) 1) The Union of the Kyrgyz film-makers had awarded film "Little Perestroyka" made by Bernhard Petcher (Austria). 2) 2) Prize of the audience – "Children of Novostroika’s" by Guljamal Sultanalieva, Kg 3) 3) Prize of the channel NTS - «No Need to Go to Zardaly» by Abu Mamadaliev, Kg
