The Film Festival “Nomad 2023: A Living Land” is organized by the Communications and Media Department of the University of Central Asia to be held in Naryn, Kyrgyzstan. The Film Festival aims to provide a platform for emerging filmmakers contributing to the development of the film industry throughout Central Asia.

Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyz Republic. This is political, economical, scientific, and cultural and transport centre of republic and Chu region. President of KR, his administration, Jogorku Kenesh (parliament of republic), government and Supreme Court, National bank, administration of Chu region work in Bishkek. Offices of international embassys, representations of the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Asian Development Bank, Central Asian Bank for Cooperation and Development and other republican and international organizations are also based in Bishkek.

Bishkek is located in the middle of Chu valley next to Kyrgyz Ala-Too at an altitude of 700-850 meters above sea level. Summer is hot and dry in Bishkek. Sometimes temperature in July reaches 42° C. The average winter temperature is -7° C. Usually snow is not higher than 15 cm. Average annual temperature is about +10° C. There is 400 mm precipitation in Bishkek per year. About 322 days a year are sunny. Average atmospheric moisture capacity is 38% in July and 68% in January. Annual average atmospheric pressure is equaled to 928,8 millibar.
