The High Flight by Sharofat Arabova from Tadjikistan will be shown at the Third Art-house film festival
Synopsis: A small boy, born deaf-and-dumb, lives in a circus and passionately dreams about becoming acrobat. In order to know his future he goes to the Gipsy marquee, to the prophetess Meshkenet. She looked at his palm and foretold an unfortunate life for him. Believing in the foreteller but still wishing to realize his dream the boy decides to change his destiny.

Biography of Sharofat Arabova
Born in 1985, Sharofat Arabova grew up in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. She is a pass out from State Artistic College
by M.Olimov. She has done her graduation in Culturology from Russian-Tajik
(Slavic) University. In her final year
she got interested in theatre and film criticism. She has done several
theatrical works as a production and costume designer. At the same time she
used to write film reviews, published in tajik newspapers. In 2007 she
published a book “Documentary in Tajik culture of XX century”. She is a post-graduate student in Institute
of History, Archeology and Ethnography by A.Donish of Academy of Science of
Tajikistan. Since 2007 she is a student of direction of Film and Television
Institute of India, based in Pune, India.
