Movie caravan devoting 20th anniversary of independance of the Kyrgyz Republic


By the twentieth anniversary of independence of Kyrgyz Republic Cinematography's State Agence organizes several thematic screenings: Movie caravan "I am 20 years old!" as well as several presentations of new films made by National film-production studio "Kyrgyzfilm" the name T. Okeyev.

The caravan's program includes films made by young Kyrgyz film-directors who have received international recognition:
1) "Everything is ok" ("Kamsanabanyz"/ "У нас все хорошо", produced by Cinema Development & KTU "Manas", 2007, film-director - Akjol Bekbolotov)


2) "Almaz" ("Dordoydun chykkan asyltash", produced by Cinema Development Fund & Max Explosure, 2010, film-director Elnura Osmonalieva)
3) "The Earrings" ("Soyko", produced by "Kyrgyzfilm" and KTU "Manas", 2010, film-director Nargiza Mamatkulova)


Today the Kyrgyz cinema is enriched with an inflow of a new generation of film-directors.
Having deep roots they also know several foreign languages.
The esthetic strive to make author's cinema (art-house) appeared in them together with the dream to become a film-director.
The State agency of the cinematography approved the caravan's schedule and route, which will starts on August 1, 2011 around Kyrgyzstan.
The State agency also plans to make the presentation of new films made by the National Film Studio "Kyrgyzfilm": "The Road to Mecca" (directed by Asel Zhuraeva) and "Old Man" (directed by Marat Alykulov).
In the day of the twentieth anniversary of independence of Kyrgyzstan - August 31, 2011 in all cinema-theaters of the country will be held nationwide premiere of a new feature-length film made by Tynay Ibragimov - "Life is short" (co-production between "Kyrgyzfilm" & "Kyrgyztelefilm").
