A film of Opening ceremony of the Third Art-House film festival, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan The festival team have invited Mr. Georgi Ovashvili, famous Georgian film-director to the 3rd Art-House film festival at Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
His remarkable film Gagma Napiri (The Other Bank) will be shown during the opening ceremony.
Synopsis. About georgian-abkhazian conflict. The film tells about an extraordinary internal drama of a little boy, his thoughts, feelings, passions, sorrows and efforts to take arms against the difficulties. A film by Giorgi Ovashvili გაღმა ნაპირი
Georgi Ovashvili, Georgia, Tbilisi, film-director & producer:
He is a graduate the film department of the Georgian State Institute of Cinema and Theatre (1996) and the course of filmmaking of The New York Film Academy at Universal Studios in Hollywood (2006).
He has directed a number of poignantly elegant shorts, most notably – Mzeris Doneze (Eye Level) – won New York Film Academy Scholarship Award at Berlinale 2005, Special Prize of International Jury at Odense International Film Festival the same year.

His big-screen directorial debut Gagma Napiri/The Other Bank (2009) was screened at 80 international film festival in more then 80 countries and won about 50 international prizes.
He works now on his two new projects
