Film Festival "Nomad 2023: A Living Land": Call for entries

The Film Festival “Nomad 2023: A Living Land” is organized by the Communications and Media Department of the University of Central Asia to be held in Naryn, Kyrgyzstan. The Film Festival aims to provide a platform for emerging filmmakers contributing to the development of the film industry throughout Central Asia.

Main achievements

Olivier Pere (Art-director of Locarno IFF, Switzerland) – Special programme Open Doors, dedicated to Central-Asian films and film projects . 12 participants from Kyrgyzstan.









Ulf Sigvardson (manager of Goteborg IFF Fund, Sweden) –  Equipped video-studio which produces films by young filmmakers.









Bianca Taal (Director of Hubert Bals Fund of Rotterdam IFF, the Netherlands) – Financial support of 2 Kyrgyz film projects, participation of Kyrgyz films in Rotterdam Film Festival.








Joel Chapron (film critic, programmer of Cannes IFF, France) –  Promotion of Kyrgyz films to French film festivals, articles about Kyrgyz cinema and film festival in French press.








Cedomir Kolar (member of Board of European film Academy, Oscar-winning film producer, France) – Full producing of the film by Kyrgyz film director.









Gulnara Abikeeva (film critic, Art-director of “Eurasia” IFF, Kazakhstan) – Articles about Kyrgyz cinema and film festival in Central-Asian press, participation of Kyrgyz films in “Eurasia” IFF.
