Awards: Two awards at the Spirit of Fire International Film Festival in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, 2023

Synopsis:

A family lives in the valley. High steep mountains and not a big clearing. The father of the family, as soon as morning comes, goes to the mountains to cut a path until the dead of night. The wife is at home, chopping, pounding, repairing, and raising her son. The main character, the husband, Aduchi, is obsessed with the idea of cutting a path through the mountains. Aduchi's wife, Karagys, is silent and strict. She is a hunter, a carpenter, if something needs to be fixed around the house, she is both a mother and a wife. She lives in the present, here and now. Karagys thinks that a path is a road to nowhere. How long will the family idyll last?
