The film "Esimde" directed by Aktan Arym Kubat won the "Asian Oscar"

Ceremony of "Asian Oscar" - APSA - Asian Pacific Screen Awards was in Australian today.  The film "Esimde" (This is what I remember) won Jury Grand Prize.

This Is What I Remember (Esimde)

Having become an amnesiac old man, Zarlyk returns to his homeland after twenty-three years of ordeals in a foreign land. Events take place in a village in Kyrgyzstan, where he is brought by his adult son. Much has changed during his absence: the morals of the villagers, the realities of a changing world, radicalization of Islam, growing crime and corruption.
