Karlovy Vary International Film Festival currently looking for projects for Works in Progress selection
Work in Progress 2023:
At this event, producers and directors from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and North Africa will introduce new films that will premiere after the Karlovy Vary IFF.

Do you work on a creative documentary film project of any length (short, medium or full length) and do you want to discuss it with internationally renowned documentary film experts?
Apply for the film mentoring program of CinéDOC-Tbilisi and get the chance to work on your project with mentors from the documentary film industry: documentary film experts including producers, directors, sales agents and editors. Successful applicants will benefit from a long term mentoring program that includes: deep analysis of their projects, enhanced knowledge on sales and distribution possibilities as well as insights into the international documentary film festival circuit. The mentoring program will include online meetings on an individual basis, and group works with mentors and other participants.

What does the online mentoring program offer?
- Personalized mentorship through one-on-one meetings
- Mentorship and interactive discussion of the projects via group works
- Feedback on project progress
- Webinars on different aspects of documentary film directing and production
- Selected participants will also have the chance to pitch their film projects to a panel of decision makers from film festivals, film markets and broadcasters
The program starts on 1st of March and lasts till 10th of May, 2021
The program is seeking ambitious, visionary filmmakers who work on a creative documentary film project, and have the drive to get it made. Your projects may be at development, production or post-production (editing stage).
Application requirements:
- a current project you would like to bring to the Mentoring Program
- a link to previous documentary work subtitled in English
- a good level of English language
- a Participation fee of USD 150 upon selection, for Georgian participants the same amount's equivalent in Georgian Lari.
Noosfera Foundation allocates a part of its overall budget to three scholarships. Please kindly inform us, in the application form below, if you would like to apply for a scholarship (meaning, a reduction of the participation fee) from the side of the organizers.
