On February 1, submission for the XX Kazan International Muslim Film Festival started. The submission will last till June 1, 2024. The Selection Committee will finish its work by the beginning of July. After this, the official selection will be announced.

24th Busan IFF: Kyrgyz movie "Running to the Sky" directed by Mirlan Abdykalykov won the International Critics Prize

Movie from Kyrgyzstan "Running to the Sky" directed by Mirlan Abdykalykov won the International Critics Prize at the 24th Busan international Film Festival (Korea, November 3-12, 2019).
 
Motivation: "For it’s delicate portrait of a struggling country through the eyes of a boy who runs to transcend his limitations".
