Soon coming: Christiane Buchner will see new short films made by young Kyrgyz directors

Christiane Buchner - member of the Selection Committee of the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen. She will be the chairperson of the jury of Baiqonyr International Short Film Festival in Almaty (4-8.09.2019) and after finishing it she will come to Bishkek to present the program of best films from Oberhausen - 2019. Also she would like to see new Kyrgyz short films.

Program: 

First day: 09.09.2019, 16.00 - 19.00 - meeting with Kyrgyz artists - office АртИСТ

Second day: 10.09.2019, 13.00 - 18.00 - screenings - AUCA (American University in Central Asia)

Third day: 11.09.2019, 13-17 - screenings - KTMU  (Kyrgyz Turkish Manas University)

The morning time of the second and third day Christiane Buchner will have meeting with Kyrgyz film-makers.

At first, we would like to present two our directors who won Grand-Prix at the Oberhausen ISFF: 

1) Mr. Bolot Shamshiev: his film "Manaschi" won Grand-Prix in 1965. This film will be shown.

2) Mr. Shamil' Djaparov: his film "Kochev'e kosmonavta" won Grand-Prix in 1983. This film will be shown.
