Training of Professional Managers for Cinema Industry

PF “Cinematographers Union of KR” in cooperation with Cinema Development Fund with supporting of Manas University starts new project “Training of professional managers for cinema industry”

It will take place during 2 months since February,15, 2011.

Project aimed to develop and improve the weakest part of Kyrgyz cinema - “Management”.

Production part of cinema with all workers (film director, director of photography, script writer etc) become rather weak and ineffective without people who will find resourses for production and sell their products after, without people who will research local and international market to find more reliable development strategy.

Unfortunately, in Kyrgyzstan, there is no educational organization for cinema producers, distributers and marketings. Of course, at present time, some people at private or governmental cinema studios, perform manager’s work, but they work low professionally, member of Filmmakers Union of KR, director of Cinema development fund Isakbekov Ulan said.

At present time Manager’s profession, turn into big and quiet difficult profession, which demands versatile education in fields: interpersonal attitudes, financing, managing, promotion and communication.

These courses will give possibility for managers to work two, three times better and effective.

Famous local and foreigner trainers, managers, directors and producers will take part in the project, like Altynay Koichumanova (Kyrgyzstan), Nurbek Egen (Russia), Nina Lavrik and Sergey Azimov (Kazakhstan), Elena Voronina and Irina Chistyakova (Kyrgyzstan).

Results: creation of 15 active managers who will develop different other projects after, fasten development of cinema, increasing of working places and cultural growing of country.
