Asma Sydyk, writer from UAE, wrote the book "Aitmatov's universe"
Director of the Department of Cinematography Muktaly Bektenaliev informed about this. Asma Sydyk as the head of the UAE delegation arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the work of the Third International Issyk-Kul Forum "Chyngyz Aitmatov and the challenges of our time."
Yesterday, October 4, 2018, Asma Sydyk met with Chingiz Aitmatov's sister, Rosa Aitmatova, and presented her book about an outstanding Kyrgyz writer. The meeting was attended by the film crew of the documentary “Aitmatov's World. A World Without Aitmatov” (dir. Bakyt Karagulov). The episode of this meeting will be include to a future film.
In response, Rosa Aitmatova presented her latest book about Chingiz Aitmatov to an Arab guest. Asma Sydyk promised that she would translate this book into Arabic.
Director of the Department of Cinematography Muktaly Bektenaliev holds meetings with guests and participants of the Aitmatov Forum, including filmmakers from different countries. The forum includes discussions with guests about the possibilities of promising cooperation in the field of cinema, the creation of joint films, etc.
