Film of Temir Birnazarov will be screening at the Monthly Screenings at Chennai Film of Kyrgyz director Temir Birnazarov "Devil's Bridge" will be screening at the 4th Monthly Screenings of Documentaries and Short Films at Chennai, India, on November 12th, international independed producer Paul Lee informs.
According to him, the screening in Chennai is organized by the Madurai Film Festival, which screened "Devil's Bridge" and other Kyrgyz short films last December.
This Screenings of documentaries and short films have been organising monthly in Chennai since August 2010.
"Devil's Bridge" is a short-length, documentary, black-and-white film, which was shot by Temir Birnazarov in 1996.
For a remote Kyrgyz village, the only link to the outside world is a winch platform the pulls the people and animals across a cable bridge. Day and night, whether the sun is shining, or the fog is coming down from the mountains, the bridge is the villagers’ lifeline, that both separates and connects them from the outside world.
