"Topurak" - new short fiction made by Cholponay Borubaeva

Synopsis. Topurak is a clay, ground and ashes from which God created man, and where human lives and where he will be gone.

An unexpected visitor from the past suddenly bursts into a calm, measured way of life of older spouses - old woman Bermet and old man Kanybek and literally reveals barely healed wounds of all three. In two days we’ll see how a dramatic fate of the characters will be revealed: their hopes, never realized dreams, humility and fear, joy and despair. We’ll see the whole palette of complex human relationships in a tiny space of a private courtyard in the local story of the classic triangle.
